If you’re looking for a family day out that keeps the fun going well into the evening, Summer Fest at Blackgang Chine is well worth checking out.

Set in one of the Isle of Wight’s best-loved attractions, this summer event combines rides, themed lands and daytime entertainment with a live DJ and foam party after dark.

With the park open until 22:00, it turns a classic day out into something that feels a bit more special.

What to expect

There’s plenty to enjoy before the evening celebrations begin. During the day, visitors can make the most of Blackgang Chine’s rides and walk-through attractions, then head to Cowboy Town for live Wild West entertainment between 11:00 and 15:00.

As the sun starts to dip, the atmosphere shifts, with the DJ starting from 18:30 and foam cannons firing at around 20:00. With music, family-friendly entertainment and the chance to enjoy parts of the park into the evening, Summer Fest offers a different way to experience Blackgang Chine.

Tickets

One of the biggest draws is that Summer Fest is included with general park admission, so there’s no separate event ticket to buy.

Standard tickets also include a 7-day free return, which means you can visit again during the same week without paying twice.

Season pass holders can attend for free too, and free parking is available on site.

Park access

As well as the event entertainment, you’ll still have access to the park’s family-friendly mix of rides, attractions and imaginative themed areas.

That includes favourites such as Pirate Cove, Fairyland, Cowboy Town and Restricted Area 5, with the chance to experience some of the rides after dark adding to the atmosphere.
